We ensure our Leeds businesses are safe and fully compliant with electrical testing on appliances, equipment and throughout the buildings they work in.
Portable Appliance Testing
Electrical testing such as PAT (Portable Appliance Testing) is carried out on all electrical equipment to ensure every item is fully functional and safe to use. We provide certification and annual reminders to all our Leeds clients in line with the very latest industry regulations. This is complete with a BCS Electrics sticker of approval, until we return and test electrical appliances again from a logged reminder date.
Portable Appliance Testing is a rigorous examination by our Leeds based electricians to test for all types of electrical safety defects.
Portable Appliance Testing includes:
- Site visit, client consultation and electrical audit
- Visual inspection of all electrical appliances
- Full electrical testing
- Visual sticker to all appliances with a reminder date for the next electrical test
- Certification for health & safety records
- Record for timely reminders to keep them well prepared for the next inspection
Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR) or Periodic Testing
An electrical test as well as a visual inspection of electrical installation to ensure all our Leeds businesses work in a safe environment.
BCS Electrics provide commercial and industrial Electrical Installation Reports (EICR) or Periodic Testing to highlight potential safety shortcomings, defects or deviations from the current electrical regulations BS7671. It is a legal requirement that electrical installation in all commercial buildings is tested every five years.
Electrics Electrical Installation Condition Report includes:
- Site visit by a qualified electrical engineer
- Visual inspection and electrical testing of infrastructure and accessories
- Programmed repeat visits every 5 years in line with current BS7671 regulations
Electrical testing with an EICR keeps Leeds businesses in line with insurance and current regulations. On completion, we leave a visible sticker which records the test date, as well as certificates describing the installation as satisfactory or unsatisfactory. In situations where defects are found, we quote for electrical repairs or arrange maintenance with a date to further test in line with legislation requirements. This ensures all insurance regulations are adhered to and provides peace of mind teams, customers and visitors are safe in that environment.
