Celebrating 45 years of maintenance for the Reserve Forces and Cadets Association.
The RFCA is responsible for the wellbeing of the region’s reserve forces and cadets but who keeps their lights switched on and powered up? Well, we’re proud to say we do. For over 45 years, BCS Electrics has kept 200 offices, barracks and cadet huts in operation through electrical testing and maintenance work.
Our work for the RFCA has encompassed almost every element you could possibly think of related to electrical maintenance. From repairs and modernisation of lighting and heating to installing fire alarms and emergency lighting systems, delivering quarterly servicing programmes and a hard wire testing of all premises every five years.
As a trusted partner who has a strong relationship with RFCA’s York team we are ambassadors of their work with reservists through Defence Relationship Management (DRM); DRM is an impartial body created by the Ministry of Defence to provide employers with the information and support required to employ a British reservist. DRM helps local electrical contractors like us to understand the importance of reservists and the extra skills and abilities available to their organisation.
In 2011, we were recognised for our commitment and dedication to the region’s forces and were awarded the ‘Supportive Employers’ certificate, signed by the Chief of the Defence Staff and Secretary of State of Defence.
