NHS Dewsbury and District Hospital

BCS Electrics recently replaced old fashioned and costly fluorescent lights to the more modern, energy saving LED within Dewsbury and District Hospital.

BCS Electrics recently replaced old fashioned and costly fluorescent lights to the more modern, energy saving LED within Dewsbury and District Hospital.

The internal corridors, ward entrances and plant rooms within the Ridings Building at the hospital required an update. Our team of electricians replaced all 450 original light fittings with LED lights over a 6 week project.

Not only will it be a money saving exercise reducing energy bills but will aid in maintenance work in the long term. With lights switched on 24/7 to keep hospital corridors and wards lit up at all times, the new LED fittings will ensure savings for the NHS, even though the wattage per lamp is much, much lower.

As each LED lamp has a longer life expectancy than the original fluorescent light and components, this will greatly reduce maintenance costs too – ensuring cleaner, brighter and lighter hospital wards in the future.
